China Itinerary, Summer 2013

Depart Los Angeles May 28 for Shanghai. While in Shanghai students will play in the International Children's Festival and at local schools and a special school for the blind. From there students will travel to Hangzhou to learn about tea, Chinese medicine and this important, beautiful city. Students will then travel to Xian to visit the Terra Cotta warriors and see some agricultural areas, and learn about the history of silk. Our last stop will be Beijing where students will have an opportunity to play music with the Beijing student symphony and perform on the Great Wall of China. June 12 marks our departure back to Los Angeles. What an amazing experience it will be!

Each musician planning to travel to China will need approximately $3000 to cover expenses. We are fundraising as much as possible to make this trip a reality!  The kids have participated in litter pick-up, performed at local functions, busked downtown, and received grants to help raise a portion of the necessary funds. Your support would be greatly appreciated!
